Odyssey logistics just named Zelh’s carrier rep their employee of the month

The average carrier rep leaves in 6 months. What if you could hire pre-trained professionals who stay, perform, and cost half as much? Real companies are seeing real results with quality remote staffing.
You know what’s hard in logistics?
Probably yes, but we’ll tell you. Finding a carrier rep who actually shows up on time, and every day, who doesn’t quit after three months because the job’s too stressful or the hours are too long, or the customers are too demanding.
You know what’s harder?
Finding one who becomes the best person on the team. Last week, Odyssey Logistics named Bratislav Jevtic their Employee of the Month. He’s a carrier sales rep. Works remotely from Serbia. Been with them through Zelh for a while now. And according to their VP of Operations, he’s the kind of person who makes everyone else better.
Here’s what happened
The benefits of outsourcing logistics talent
Mike Beckwith runs operations at Odyssey. He sent an email last Monday explaining why they picked Bratislav. Subject line: “Odyssey – Employee of the Month”
What he wrote was not the usual “thanks for your hard work” corporate speak. Mike got specific. He explained how Bratislav has been ranking at the top of their coverage reps every single month – not just once or twice when things aligned, but consistently. Early mornings, late nights, whatever it takes to keep loads covered and customers happy. That’s the kind of reliability every 3PL talks about wanting but almost never actually finds.
Mike’s next point hit different, though. He said:
Beyond his personal performance, Bratislav truly embodies a team-first mentality. He’s always willing to lend a hand to his teammates, especially new hires, taking the time to share his knowledge, answer questions, and help others succeed.
Think about that for a second.
Bratislav is crushing his own numbers. Top of the board. But he’s also the guy new hires go to when they’re stuck. The one who takes time to explain how things work and who answers questions even when he’s swamped.
That’s not in the job description. Nobody’s making him do that, he just does. And Odyssey noticed that!

Is “employee of the month” ever actually worth anything?
A lot of companies hand out “Employee of the Month” like participation trophies. Everyone gets one eventually. It rotates and doesn’t actually mean much.
But this one’s different.
Odyssey is putting a bonus in Bratislav’s next paycheck. Their VP of Operations wrote a detailed email explaining exactly why he deserves it. They’re announcing it company-wide at their town hall. That sounds like real recognition.
Mike’s full quote:
Bratislav Jevtic has consistently demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and commitment to excellence in his role as a Carrier Sales Representative. Month after month, he ranks among the top in coverage reps, setting the standard for service, reliability, and professionalism. He goes above and beyond every day, often coming in early and staying late to make sure both our customers and carrier partners are fully supported. His dedication ensures that loads are covered efficiently and that every partner receives the outstanding service our team is known for.

Do you know what’s interesting?
There is a part nobody talks about. The thing is that Bratislav works remotely, from Serbia. Different time zone, different country, and never physically in the Odyssey office. And he still became the person everyone relies on.
Remote work gets a bad rap in logistics. People assume it means less commitment and less availability. Someone who’s “just online” but not really part of the team. Bratislav proves that it’s a myth. He’s in early, works late, helps train people, ranks at the top month after month, and his coworkers know they can count on him.
Physical location? Turns out it doesn’t matter much when someone’s actually good at their job.
After years of hard work, Zelh knows what logistics companies actually need
Almost every 3PL and freight broker has the same complaint: can’t find good people. Carrier reps quit, and training takes forever. By the time someone knows what they’re doing, they’re already looking for the next job. Meanwhile, loads still need to move, customers still expect answers, and the pressure doesn’t let up.
So what do you do?
Most companies keep trying the same thing. Post jobs → hope someone decent applies → train them → watch them leave → repeat. Sounds not effective, right?
Odyssey tried something different. They brought on Bratislav through Zelh. Not because they were desperate (or wanted the cheapest option available), no. They needed someone who could actually handle their freight operations – the volume, the pressure, the customers who call at 6 PM on Friday with problems.
Bratislav handled it. Kept showing up and performing. And after a few months, nobody at Odyssey was thinking about where he worked from or how the arrangement started. They were just glad he was on the team. Because he was good, really good.

What this proves?
Stories like Bratislav’s don’t happen by accident. At Zelh, we’ve been doing this for years. We’ve sourced thousands of candidates for logistics companies across the U.S. We source people who actually perform, stick around, and the ones who become the best on the team.
We know what works and what doesn’t. We know the difference between someone who can answer phones and someone who can handle Friday at 6 PM when everything’s falling apart. We know how to find carrier reps, dispatchers, operations managers, and customer service teams who deliver quality.
Every client we work with gets the same thing Odyssey got: dedicated professionals who understand the logistics industry, who can handle the pressure, and who make your team stronger. Bratislav isn’t a one-off success story. He’s the standard.
So remember:
❌ You don’t need to settle for “good enough.”
❌ You don’t need to keep cycling through mediocre hires hoping one of them works out.
✅ You need people like Bratislav. People who show up, do the work, and make the team better.
They exist. You just have to know where to look. Fill in the form on our website and let’s build a unique team just for you.
